Tips to help you stop-The 5 D's
  1. Delay a minute or two and the urge will pass.
  2. Drink water to fight off cravings.
  3. Do something to distract yourself-take a walk,call a friend,clean a closet.
  4. Deep breathe,it will relax you .Close your eyes and take 10 slow breaths.
  5. Discuss your thoughts and feelings with someone close to you.
Helpful hints for quitting:
  • Make a promise to yourself, every morning you wake up not to smoke.
  • Stay positive.
  • Picture yourself as a non-smoker.
  • Make plans about how to deal with a stressful situation.
  • Exercise!!  It helps you to relieve tension,it reduces your urge to smoke,and you feel better and be in better shape.
  • Relaxation exercise are very beneficial in helping to relieve the urge to smoke.
  • Set a goal to reward yourself .Consider using the money you save from buying cigarettes to take a trip or buy something for yourself.
